What kind of hitch?

Texas Diesel Nats coming up soon....Oct 11/12th here close to me....in Houston, well Baytown DHRA Online | Texas Diesel Nationals

I am planning on being there laying down some 500+ numbers on the dyno for sure, and might end up on the dragstrip, but for sure want to pull the sled.

What do I need to do? I have a 10" lift and 38's Right now I have an adjustable 10" drop alum rapid hitch....it has both 2" and 2 5/8 balls but not sure if I can pull the sled with this or not. WIll this hitch work or do I need something different?

Now I KNOW a BIG truck can pull cause heres a pretty good vid of a pretty big truck doing some pretty good work.

Ask Maintain(Marty), or Scuffy828(scott)

They both pull, and I know Scotts truck is pretty tall too. I think last time down the track, Marty had borrowed a dura turd drivers Hitch, cause he said that Marty's Hitch was gonna give him an edge. So he borrowed it, and he broke it! hahaha..Hes got videos also.

In points pulls there is a height limit on how tall they are but some places dont care.

I walked behind a duramax owner that got 1st place and his hitch hit me in the elbow.

So, do they use a pintle hook type hitch? Or is it hooked directly to your ball on your hitch?

When my dad pulled it used a chain and hook that went through a hoop.

Yeah 26"......so I know I will have to have a drop of some sort like I have now....I just dont know if this alum rapid hitch will do the job or if I should get something different.

The top of my receiver measures at 31" and the top of the ball on the lowest setting measures at 24"
