Thumbs up First Sled Pull

Well Saturday night I attended a local fair for their sled pulling show and I enjoyed watching it very much, but the real excitement came on Sunday night when I entered the pulling competition. Me and three of my buddies all with diesels entered the pull and had an awesome time. We had an 04 F-350 CC LB Dually 6.0L with an edge attitude, intake and stacks with a 6.5" lift and 35" swampers on it. 06 F-350 CC SB 6.0L with an edge attitude and intake and 35" tires on 20" rims. 04 Chevy Duramax reg cab BONE STOCK, and my rig a 99 F-350 7.3L which all my mods are in my sig.

Needless to say, we had a ball! we basically made up the "diesel class" because there were only 3 other trucks besides our 4 that we brought. I placed 5th pulled 279.8 feet out of a full 300. I honestly think I would have made full pulls if I had kept my tranny from locking up the TC, that TC locking up really screwed me over, my RPM's went from redline to nothin as soon as it did Anyways, I think if i had another chance to pull I would do much better. Seeing how it was my first time I would make a few corrections to which gear I was in when draging that thing down the track. Just thought I would share with all you folks my new experience with sled pulling, I cant wait to find the next one to go to!!! I think Im getting addicted

Thats awesome, not bad at all for your first time.....I've been waiting to try my hand at pulling, but of course you have to have running truck first, just wondering you ended up winning and how much weight?

ya it was a cherry run alright! I NEED to find the next local pull so I can improve my pulls. I had more fun pullin that thing down the track than i ever had flyin down the highway next to another car or truck. There is just something about pullin a sled behing the truck that keeps me wanting more.
