best tires for truck pulls?

should i not use too aggressive of tires such as bfg mud terrains or maxxis buckshots?

A lot depends on where you are located.. and what the track is like.

Most of the events I go to... the tracks have a lot of clay, are well watered, and are well packed for pulling. On these tracks... all-terrain tires seem to do that best. BFG All Terrains are very popular.

On looser, or muddier tracks... a more aggressive tire may work better.

an agressive tire with about 1/2 tread works awesome and the mastercraft courser CT works great,thats what i run on my dually..
