pullng new truck....

Ok guys so I did a couple hooks with my old 7.3 and now I'm gonna try with my 07 6.0. My question is what gear? I used to pull in 2nd gear 4 wheel low with my old truck that had 4.10 rear. My new truck has the torque shift and 3.73s. I was wondering if 2nd low in the new truck is the way to go? Any feedback would be great........also wondering about axle hop. I've heard its bad in 05 and up fords. Thanks guys!

I ran my truck a couple times in 2nd 4lo and I just don't know if that's fast enough? Maybe it is. Should I shift into 3rd if I run out of gear?

I shift pretty regularly. Shorter gears help get the momentum going when you're comparatively underpowered.

are you still running the ppe? Ive have good luck with 4l and 3rd on shifter. Yes you need to watch your wheel hop up front. Try strapping it down or if you have the money add another shock they say that works great to

Yeah I'm still running ppe. I don't have studs yet so I only ran it on 100hp tune. I brake boosted in 2nd and hit 3rd. Pulled 245...nothing special but ill take it for the first hook. No wheel hop at all!!

when i did my first pull i pulled with my buddys ppe also. I pulled in the highest setting and won the class. My truck is a 04 so the front end doesnt hop. Maybe try and turn the ppe all the way up or buy a sct with custom tunes

Oh yeah man once I've got her studded ill turn it up and I got the ppe for 100 brand new from a buddy that wrecked his truck. SCT on the list ya know
