You're lucky. The last time there was some in stock, I should have stocked up more. I have shot all but 2 bricks and will probably wait until I can find some more before I break into those.

I need 4 more bricks to complete my target of 10K rounds of .22. I'm becoming stingey with ammo now also. I want to teach my daughter to shoot my 9mm this summer, but don't want to dig into my stash. I've decided I'll need 300 rounds to be purchased first, to let her shoot.

It's a sad day in the firearms world.

I think it's starting to slow down a little. A couple of months ago I couldn't find anything at Academy or online. I even waited 3 months to get some bulk 5.56 and 9mm. All of the expensive stuff was still on the shelf and small boxes but bulk ammo was nowhere to be found. If you look online it's amazing to see how much ammo, guns, and parts are still out of stock and they are not even excepting orders on a lot of it.

I haven't been to my academy in a month or so but they haven't had 3-1/2 buckshot or slugs for several months. I think what your probably seeing is ammo that is not the most popular and/or the expensive stuff.

I'd have to agree. I have picked up a couple hundred rounds at Academy when I go just because that's all there is. These are the personal defense buck a pop rounds. I can't afford them for plinking.
