Archoil 4200?

Who has used it? Anybody got personal reviews? What were you using before to make a comparison?

For gun lube? I'm becoming a fan of frog lube personally

Yes, gun lube. I've been reviewing different brands, the Frog lube has it's followers, along with the other name brand companies.

Breakfree is another very popular product.

Not much hard data out there, except for posts of people using what ever brand they tried.

I did find this PDF from archoil vs Breakfree. There is suppose to be a chart floating around the inter web showing BreakFree being better than Frog lube and other gun oils, but no comparisons on the Archoil, I believe this is due to Archoil being a new product that wasn't included in the oil comparison.

I like frog lube for shotguns, autos and pistols. It's good stuff for slides, especially on 1911s as they can get sticky after a few thousand rounds. A buddy of mine went to frontsight and shot about 3000rds in one day, no cleaning, no jams, no stuck slides. Other guys were having to break down, he kept firing.
I've used kroil before, but not break free. Believe it or not, Lucas gun oil is pretty good stuff too. I use it in my bolt guns.
If you choose to try archoil, let us know how you like it.

Thanks for the feed back.

I'm not gonna be a good candidate for giving a review of the Archoil, I'm still "old school" and have been using 3-1 oil. I figure I would step up my game and get into the new century with gun lubes.

My co-worker uses break-free, and likes it a lot. I'm gonna purchase the Archoil 4200 (CLR), to try out. I have a buddy who owns the LGS, I'm gonna drop off some for him to try out, I'm sure he's tried just about every brand out in the market.

I thought about Kroil, but we use it a work, and when sitting around exposed to the air, it gets gummy.

What type of arms are you using it on? I used red chassis grease on the slides of my pistols prior to frog lube. Oil just doesn't have enough viscosity for my money

Pump shotguns, lever action, bolt action, and semi-auto pistols. My long guns are all hunting arms, the pistols are home defense and EDC.

Today at Wally-word, picked up a can of Break-free CLP. Also ordered Archoil 4200 CLP.

Now the trick is to find time to send some rounds down range.
