Which gun for CC

Getting my first CC gun in a few weeks, and have narrowed it down to a few different guns. Just wanted your opinion on the 3. They cover all of the ranges and styles pretty much, just not sure what I like the best.

1. Glock 22 .40cal (cheap, 2 mags with good capacity)
2. 1911 Defender 3" .45
4. S&W 686 in .380 for range and .357 when carrying

Open to other opinions as well, not sure which I like the best. Anyone have any insight on issues with the small barrel of the defender?

I carry a Glock 27 in .40 and it works well. Kahr makes some nice compact pistols as well.

i just picked up a glock 19 for my CC. i absolutely love it. if you want the .40 go with that. the revolver would be a good choice too. personally i wouldn't do the 1911. if i was to carry a 1911 it would be at least a 4" barrel.

I carry a Kahr 40 it works well. I also carry a Ruger LCP in 380 that conceals really easy in my pocket

My glock 23 .40 is my favorite so far. I was just out on my farm and killed a few cinder blocks with it. That was fun!

I'm gonna get a 1911, I'm not sure what brand or modle just yet, I'd like something in stainless. I've heard that some of the 1911's are a little long for CC and are hard to carry because of it.

I carry a 1911 and it's a pain in the *** (full size). I have several 1911s and my personal favorite is my kimber eclipse custom. My dad just got a bersa 9mm and its a pretty sweet little gun but i dont like 9mm as much as .40 or .45 for defense. When you go for a concealed carry gun you want something that you can shoot good, Operate smoothly and most of all it has to be comfortable when concealed. Otherwise you wont carry it and that kinda defeats the purpose.

I carry a 4" commander bobtail 1911 by Dan Wesson. Love it, but it does take a dam good belt to hold it up. My next pistol for cc will be one of these. Glock G29 10mm then get a conversion barrel to shoot 40 at the range.
