Im also in California. I've never been a fan of the .223 or 5.56 cartridge round due to take down power even I own one but i am thinking of building a 7.62x39 ar. But I love your m1 that's a beauty. Where in Calif are you??? I'm stationed in el centro. Have a good one, Devin

I'm also toying with building an AR in 7.62X39. Not a lot of people do, but I think it would be a good cartridge for it. Cheap and easy to find, with plenty of ooomph behind it.

I've been in Cali the last 20 years and im moving to Idaho and couldn't be happier. Cali gun laws blow. The bullet button and 10rd mag thing is a joke. But since i'll be in Idaho soon i don't have to worry about that anymore. HELL YA lol. Nice builds by the way. I noticed you used a Mega lower. I love Mega, there second to now in my opinion. Both of mine are Mega upper and lower receivers with Adams Arms piston systems.
