You can try and google it. As long as it shoots I wouldn't worry to much about it. There are still thousands of these that are 30-40 years old and still packed with cosmoline sitting in crates all over the world. It will never be a valuable firearm, so shoot the piss out of it and have fun. I would be trying to get a hold of as much ammo as you can find. I use to buy 7.62x39 for $89.99 for $1,300 rounds! It's gone way up.

I am not worried of the value, I was just curious what the age is so I would know in conversation.

I wish I could find ammo like that. I am getting ammo at 20 for $11.50

The Yugo 59/66 SKS was made from 1967 til 1970. You should be able to find the manufacture made date stamped on the left side of the receiver in the front.

There you go. Ryan, never buy 7.62 in 20 rnd boxes, you need to buy in full cases. Depending where they were made a full case can be 800-1300 rounds. I have seen 1000 rnds lately going for $189, try any local gun shows. Good Luck, be safe, and have fun!!

Where did you find that price? I haven't seen it for less than 245!

My house, lol!!
The last ones I saw for $189 was at the gun show in Winston Salem, Ammoman and Ammunitiontogo has good prices if you get in on one of their free shipping deals.
