I'm a loyal NRA member, dont always agree with everything they do, but I am a member.Why am I ticked off? The dam unending phone calls! Every day it seems I get 2-4 calls. If I answer, no one on the other end. I have called them to be told they do computer calls to see when someone might be home so they can call back to beg for money.When my ex was doing this **** it was called harrassment! I have asked them, no, I told them, to take my name off the list, do not call me! No help.I'm really getting tired of getting woke up, and my home phone is a business phone and in some cases I'm on call 24/7 so I cant really unhook the phone. What the hell do I have to do to make them stop? I'm to the point I'm thinking of cancelling my membership. It's not always the same phone number so I dont think I can block them, tho all are a 1-888 number, so maybe? Something I can buy to send them a "He's dead, dosent live here, voted for Obama" message?

Never had one phone call from them. I doubt that I gave them my number though because I am really picky about who I will give that to just for that reason. Good luck

I cut up my Lifetime membership card and sent it back to them when they sold us out on the S&W deal a few years back. The NRA has sold out gun owners numerous times. I don't them to take their membership and shove it!!! They don't call much any more!! If you want to join a organization that is trul pro gun and wont play both sides of the fence look up the Grass Roots division for your state. Our NC chapter is incredible and does more for gun owners than the NRA ever will. No fancy hats or stickers to give away, but they stand up to Big Bro!!

I've been a Life member since the '70s. I, like NCHornet, got pissed at them (in my case for selling-out us machine gun dealers and "throwing us to the dogs" in the early '80s) and thought the same thing. I'll tell 'em to Shove Their Membership!.

Then, I figured, what better way to punish them than to just never contribute a dime to them again BUT make them waste their money sending me all the mailings as well as the Lifetime subscription to their magazine

The biggest mistake you can make you can make is to give those charlatans like Allen Gotlieb or the Second Amendment Foundation ANYTHING.... You give them $25.00 and they'll spend that every year on you, trying to get some more, for a decade!

I have to adgree with the last two never been a nra member! And i never will they sell out the American gun owner far to offten. I dont know what is the best group in your state but if you ever move to colorado the RMGO is the best that i have ever seen,and i will all ways be a proud member a long as they stick to their guns like they do now.

When they called the other day about a fund for the opposition of the UN Gun ban I said I hope it happens. The powder keg of Revolution needs something to light it. I told her I spent the money they were wanting a few days before they called on AMMO! LOL.

I've never gotten a phone call, BUT all the bull chit they send me asking for my money is OUT OF HAND. I won't be renewing my membership, and am joining the RMGO. THEY are a hard core 2nd amendment group in CO.

IMHO, the NRA started as a good organization, but got WAYYY too big for its shoes. I'm sure they rub elbows with the likes of bama more than enough to make us real 2nd amendment guys throw up
