SUPERDUTY ROAD TRIP-HOG HUNT

I just got my new to me 02 Superduty. One day later I got laid off! Life's a beach!! Anyhow, I've always wanted to go to Oklahoma or Texas to shoot some of the wild/Ferral hogs they have running around down there. Now I have the truck & the time. I live in western Colorado & think a drive to Texas in my new truck would be awesome. Does anyone know of any farmers who are having problems with these pigs & would like me to bring my 338 Ultra Mag, SKS, 257 Akley improved and my 3.5" turkey 12 gauge to blow the crap out of these hogs?
I'm serious. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks BGJ

I have always wanted to do a Hog Hunt, but not with a rifle!!! I want to use my 44 mag and shoot the beast while it is charging!! Oh and have it on video, good or bad, I have always thought that would be a awesome hunt. For your best hunt you will need dogs, and this is where the money comes in. At least I was told this years ago when I was looking for a hunt, that they loose a lot of dogs when the bore is cornered and starts tearing up the dogs. Unless you really know what to look for and how to track it may be difficult to locate them without dogs or a guide. Good luck with your new truck too!!

Out around Amarillo you will find lots of hogs grazing on peanut farms. easy kills and the farmers would love to have you kill them. Just go asking around over there. My cousin killed 6 one morning out the back of his truck on a peanut farm...one he only injured and it charged the truck and punctured a tire with his tusk!

BGJ, what did you decide to do about that guy in south TX that offered his property to hog killin'? Ammarillo is a hell of a lot closer . Maybe I'll be the stowaway in the back of your truck

So far I think my Wife and possibly my Sis would be going. Might be tight even in the LB. I'll have a shell on it with a carpet kit. If they drop out I would let you know. Got diesel $?
