lol... thats pretty funny... the design wouldnt be as bad if it would go all the way up to where the regular stock normally goes too.. then it would not look as bad and prob be easier to shoot

yea that is it..the in order for your AR to be an assault weapon it has to have three of 6 things
bayonet lug detachable mag pistol grip threaded barrel collapsible or folding stock grinade launcher so by illuminating the grip you could have something else post band ARs have detachable mag and pistol grips one more thing and it would be illegal. Exile Machine LLC - California-Legal Featureless AR-15 Rifle Products the inventor of this thing is from cal so it explains why it looks so gay |

This thread showed up in the referrers log on my website so I thought I'd jump in here...
I'm the inventor of the Hammerhead rifle stock adapter pictured in the OP, and the CEO of the company that makes and sells them. Hammerhead was originally designed for the CA market. In CA due to the insane gun laws, you can either have a rifle that looks like an AR-15, or one that functions like an AR-15, but not both. The rifle that Raul posted above may look like a regular free state AR-15, but he's left out the most important detail... That rifle is limited by law to 10 rounds in the mag, and the shooter has to use a pointy tool to drop the mag, you can't use your finger. You can't see it but there's an aluminum cylinder blocking the mag release. In short, the rifle may look good but it's crippled. In CA if you want a fully-functional AR-15, you have to get rid of all the evil features, and in their infinite stupidity, the legislature determined that the pistol grip is evil incarnate. So if you want to shoot your legally-owned 30 rounders (or even 100 round drums), and drop them with a press of your finger the way nature intended, you have to do something about the pistol grip. The Exile Machine Hammerhead is one of four ways that can be done. To put it in perspective and in the interests of fairness, here are the other ways: 1) CA Rifles U-15 stock (www.californiarifles.com) 2) Monsterman grip: (www.monstermangrip.com) 3) Kydex Grip Wrap (www.solartactical.com) All of them will necessarily give your rifle a nonstandard look. Some (monsterman and kydex wrap) have you grip the rifle in a way you'll never grip any other firearm. But each one lets you load and shoot the rifle to its full capacity. The Hammerhead is actually very comfortable to hold and shoot. It's like holding a traditional wooden rifle. We have sold these into the free states as well as CA, and are expanding into the northeast, where the Clinton assault weapons ban lingers in state law like a bad hangover. -Mark Exile Machine LLC Fort Worth TX 866 438 6579 Last edited by lowracer; 01-12-2010 at 08:29 AM. |
