question about memberships

i have a question about the memberships. i was trinking about upgrading my membership the a life member but was wondering if you have to pay $60 once or every year?

I was about to join too but, when I went to PayPal to do the $20/yr contribution it noticed it said it was going to go into my PayPal account and help itself to $20 EVERY YEAR with out my doing anything

That's not right.... If there's not a way to do the yearly payment "at will" I'm not doing it!

I'd consider the lifetime if it weren't right before Christmas and moneys a little "tighter" than normal....
