too much signature????

i was trying to ad a few graphics to my sig and it said :

Your signature can not be longer than 500 characters excluding BB Code markup.

is this due to my links i have in my sig? and i assume theres nothing more i can add without taking away?

LOL! Trust me buddy I feel your pain. We all have a 500 character limit - I would increase it but sigs would REALLY get a bit out of hand if I did. I'm in the same boat trust me.

I think the tags for all the blinky stuff you've got count as well.

Here is an idea Alan. Perhaps we could set it up so that if someone needed an increase in the limit that it could be done individually? Say they make a request and explain how much they need and what they want to do and then you approve or deny the increase based on that information. No?

I think the 500 count limit is perfect. Even with that it seems some of the sigs are kinda outta control. Im not pointing fingers at anybody thats just my thoughts on the subject.
