I'm pretty sure those are set up so that only admins/mods and Techs can post in there...for information purposes only.
If you have a tech file you would like added, maybe contact Alan or Marc and they might add it for ya.

when i hit the "post reply" button got this:

i think that area is reserved for mods/admin to post items found by members and write ups for easy ref..

If it's in the Tech files you can post in the write up section BUT only starting a new thread for a write up. Only the person who puts a write up in there can post in the thread they created. The rest of the Tech Files Marc has locked down. It's to keep it from becoming a place of conversation - it's only a place for reference and he wanted it to be neat, clean and easy to navigate.
Stumpy if I'm thinking of the wrong place just shoot me a PM with the link buddy and I'll check it out for ya.

Also, member write ups are set up to not allow any kind of replies.......unless a mod slips up and does it. Standard and premium members can post in the members write up section only, but cant reply to any of the write ups
