1996 f250 7.3 fuel problems

I own a 96 f250 diesel and it started to die on me after about 10 mins of driving and it would crank up after about 45 mins of sitting.I was told it might be the cam shaft sensor so I replaced it. it ran for about an hour and I thought the problem was fixed. I went to work and back the next day ( about 20 min drive. and later that day I went to town and it did it again. Is this an injector pump problem? Ive also been told that my truck uses a fuel pump and not an injector pump? Ive worked on cars and trucks all my life but not diesel injections. Can someone help?

Could be fuel pressure too.
