SEARCH is pretty much useless here... WHY?

I am on numerous other boards running this exact same vBulletin and vBSEO and the Search functions on the other boards work well.

When trying to use Search here, it is painfully useless. You can search virtually any keywords you want and you will get TONS of crap that doesn't pertain to your search in any way, shape, or form. This occurs whether I use vague keywords or very specific phrases/keywords. I get 400 pages of garbage!

Has anyone else experienced this?

I use the google search in the top left. It seems to work a lot better for me.

Yeah me too. Search is garbage. I think thats why in the forums you get the same high traffic questions over and over.

Yup... google "powerstroke" and then whatever else youre looking for... usually will find it with a little searching... but a lot less than trying to use the forum "search" feature.

Sometimes I think the forum search is out trying to find itself.

yea I hate the search functions here, both the google and the forum one, completely useless

this search feature is garbage, i just use regular google. it shows other forums too which is a plus
