Geneva Auto Show 2009

The Geneva Auto Show prides itself on having the world's most important and prestigious premieres and 2009 is shaping up to be no different. Several manufacturers have already given plenty of hints at their Geneva world premieres with full specifications and photos released prior to the show.

To date, Geneva will play host to the 2010 Porsche GT3, the baby Rolls-Royce, a FlexFuel Bentley Supercar, the Audi TT RS and many other vehicles. We'll be sure to bring you info on the latest developments, including expected supercars from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Koenigsegg, as well as info on concept cars, like the Hyundai ix3, which will shape the next Tucson.

Follow the latest new car premieres from the Geneva Auto Show 2009 on AutoGuide.com.

I would say it's more of issues with emissions then supply and demand. Oddly enough there is a demand for smaller diesel vehicles. VW's diesel line of cars does very well and while everyone is hopping on the electric bandwagon, they are still going with diesel, so to them(who I would assume did a cost/benefit analysis) think it's still more beneficial to them to stay with a diesel lineup then switch gears along with everyone else and try to do the direct injected turboed gasser or electric hybrid or combination thereof for any of those.

Eventually emissions will be handled by the manufactors if the EPA slows down cramming more stringent ones year after year.

I would love to have a Ranger in the American body style with the 3.0l diesel. It would make a nice daily commuter, to bad they won't have the diesels in ours. The euro one looks
