WOW, this is truly amazing. I couldn't keep the secret the whole time and broke down and told/showed my dad about 2 days into the voting and needless to say, his fingers are probably permanently crossed now!! Seriously though, he is truly appreciative and I know will benefit from this intake as would every other person that was in the running. There were definitely more than just one deserving candidate on that list.

My father has never been the "car guy" of the family - it's always been me, so he's always heavily relied on my opinion and research and that's why I joined this forum about 2 yrs ago. Although I may not be a contributing member with a high post count, I've spent countless hours searching and reading up on all aspects of the Powerstroke diesel. This is an awesome forum that has had a major impact on the mods that my dad's truck sports. Without it, we would have never known of DPTuner, probably wouldn't of found DieselManor and certainly wouldn't have won this intake. Heck, we just did the 'ZooDad' mod yesterday after I stumbled across a thread - the wealth of information is endless!! So, once again, thanks to everyone who participated and most of all to Jay at S&B Filters.

I figured I'd include a picture of the winning rig fresh after a wash and wax. I messed up and it's actually a 2001....not 2002. Hope that doesn't disqualify us!! It's a 2WD with cloth interior and has just over 92k miles, so it's just getting broken in. With the way my dad takes care of things, this truck will probably outlive me (his last "truck" - an '88 Suburban w/ a 454 engine finally gave up the ghost 2 yrs ago w/ about 265k miles). EDIT - sorry, tried to post pics directly using the little picture icon, but nothing would show up - just blank space on my screen, so these links will have to do unless someone can figure something out.

I just HAD to take a picture of this. This is the gauge "pod" (aka towel) that has been in action since Christmas. Don't worry though, the permanent fixture will be in soon.

I will definitely take a picture of the intake when it's under the hood. Thanks again!!!

Andrew,

Great job on the entry and congratulations on winning the contest. I sent you an email just a few minutes ago asking for a shipping address. once I have your address, I'll send the cleaning kit and the intake right away.

I appreciate all of the support from the forum and hopefully we can run more contests like this in near future.

Thanks again!

Congratulations to you Andrew for a very thoughtful write up,and the sincerity that it conveyed to all I believe who read it.

And also, I do believe congratulations are in order to “the evil one” and of course Jay for supplying the product involved.
You guys really hit one out of the park on this contest
