S&B Filter Giveaway Finalists

OK, everyone, the staff had a difficult time selecting only four, so the top eight finalists have been identified and now we need your help to select the most deserving ORG member to receive the S&B intake and cleaning kit! Please remember that we need to keep this anonymous, so please DO NOT post up saying that you made it in or to tell people which selection to vote for. Unfortunately, that will result in your disqualification. Please PM me if you have any questions.

LET THE VOTING BEGIN and GOOD LUCK!

1) I use my 97' Ford F250 Powerstroke for my work vehicle. This means I put a ~500+ miles on my truck in a single week. So to be a "green" company I started producing my own bio diesel. This lowers my polution output and helps the restaraunt industry out because it is less money spent on waste and overhead there for lower food prices. This intake would raise my fuel economy and further help the cause of lower polution and less fuel consumption. In turn this keeps my prices down to help local people in need of metal work wit hlower metal prices. Thank you.

2) Now I personally don't have a diesel Ford, but my dad does, so this gift would be for him. My parents have always had a camper and it is the reason for many of the cherished memories I have as a child growing up. I'm fortunate enough to have driven through 39 of the 50 states on a cross country trip we did about 17yrs ago. My dad finally got his dream truck, a diesel F250 ('02) about 2 yrs ago, and although they don't really have the money to modify it the way he'd like (teacher's salary), my siblings and I help as we can (just bought him the '08 rear diff cover for father's day). As of now he has a 4" exhaust, DP Tuner, pyro gauge and his new gift. My parents are taking my 2 youngest brothers (15 & 18) on a cross country trip in July b/c they've never done that kind of a trip w/ them and want to before they "fly the coup". I'd love to get him setup w/ some sort of intake, either this or 'home-brew', before they leave on July 2nd to give the truck that lil extra kick it'll need in the Rockies and to also help w/ the ever increasing fuel prices that are surely going to put a beating on my parents' credit card which they'll be paying for for the next year or two. I appreciate your time and thanks again for an awesome give-a-way!!!

3) I think that I am the most deserving because I am a teenager that still goes to school and I have been putting alot of effort into good grades so I can get a scholarship to a good university. Currently, I am trying to start my own lawn mowing company but I feel that all of the money that I earn goes straight towards diesel because I drive a 2008 ford f-250 and pulling a trailer all of the time equals horrible gas mileage. I have been trying to save up for an airfilter but I put all of the money into diesel nonstop. I love my truck so much and I am very fortunate to have the truck thanks to my grandma that passed away four months ago. Overall, I could use an air intake very bad to help out my mileage so thank you for your time and good luck with finding the top four.

4) I purchased an '04 F350 that was wrecked. RF fender....broke. Passenger door....broke. Bed and tailgate....broke. Cab and glass....broke. Running boards....broke. Steering stabilizer....broke. Hood....broke. Headlight mounting bracket....broke. Passenger seat....broke. Most of the replacement parts have been purchased and some of the labor has been paid to the body shop. I bought a 4" turbo back exhaust system to start my "mods". All this with some custom paint work and I am, you guessed it......broke. What an appreciative winner I would be. Make sure there are some window stickers with it if I win. Thanks for letting me hang out on here with you guys and thanks to the vendors that help sponsor this website.

5) I feel I am most deserving because I have never had good luck with things and bad luck is taking over right now. I have been saving up for a S&B intake until just a few days ago…. I was working on my truck and took off my I/C pipes and alternator to work on the P/S pump. I set the items beside my truck and went in to have lunch. When I came back out everything was gone (including some tools)! I did everything I could and never found out who it was. After scrounging to the bottom of the barrel and using my “S&B intake funds” to get enough money for a new alternator, and I/C pipes, P/S pump (since I had no core), and the tools, I got the truck running again.

6) I am an 18 year old college student from Idaho. I live on the desert where the INL (Idaho National Laboratory), this is where the government does all of its nuclear tests and development. I work on my family’s ranch which runs its’ cows on the desert. Each morning I drive 60 miles out into the middle of the desert where I spend the rest of the day trucking water to our 600 hundred head of cattle. This daily round trip across the dusty desert causes my filter to go through filter hell. In the past two years I have tried two different brands of filters, Bully Dog and AFE; both filters have not faired well. Clean air flow into my engine is very important to me and so far no other company has been able to hold up. The abuse my trucks’ air filter system takes every day is why I believe I deserve a free intake.

7) Well, I've had a hard time thinking of why I'm the most deserving, so here's a little ditty I wrote, 150 words or less. & it goes a little something like this:

I'll tell you who's the most deserving
of the intake from S&B.
The person you're looking for,
is none other than me!
To make my turbo scream
and rear wheels spin.
With an S&B filter under the hood,
I'm sure to win!
If I had the S&B intake,
it would give me great pleasure,
to know it's there increasing
my atmospheric pressure.
Which, in turn, helps
to create black smoke.
Which, also in turn,
makes my competition choke!
Ah, this S&B intake
is really so sweet!
I'd install it so quickly,
& be king of the street!
I think I'm the MOST deserving.
This is no joke.
There's one last reason, I can't remember,
Oh Yeah!...I'm broke!

8) The last two weeks have been a nightmare for my family. It all started when our neighbor sued us for some remodeling we are trying to do, followed by our A/C going out in our house (we live in Phoenix). The A/C was 400 to fix, a fraction of the cost of the attorney. We thought it couldn’t get worse until the turbo charger on my diesel Jetta went. Thanks to my neighbor, I don’t have the money to fix it. The icing on the cake was when the CPS went out on my wife’s Excursion and left her and our toddlers stranded. I want to say thanks to everybody at Powerstroke.org, because of their posts the CPS was easily diagnosed and fixed. I may not be the most deserving of an S&B intake, but after the humble pie I’ve eaten I would be the most grateful.

I've never been much on "begging"
But I guess I'll vote.

I don't think the "I'm 18" or "I'm a teenager" are deserving at all and shouldn't be in this poll. They are young and have plenty of time to make money in their lives for toys.
