for all the guys complaining about new diesels increasing demand and deminishing suply the fact is that if their are more diesels out there the refinerys can easily produce more diesel and less gas.

[quote=DavidPhillips;596131]The urea will probably last a few thousand miles by the time it's perfected. 18 gallons of diesel to one gallon of urea?

Wow and i thought it cost too much to fill up now. So we add urea and add $2.00 a gallon increase to run diesel so if my math is correct that adds up to 7 dollar a gallon diesel at todays prises.

A client of mine is the company that made the crankshaft micro polishing machines for this engine as well as the 6.4's replacement. He said they will be in the 2010 trucks and that Ford has severed ties with Navistar. He also said the f-150 Ext. cab (Fords bread and butter) 4x4 will get 25 MPG's hwy with the 4.4.

I like the sound of that. Might just wait until then afterall instead of looking at a used 6.0.

I can't see any way it would use that much urea. That is totally ridiculous.

I work construction and the company I work for just re - vamped the Cummins engine plant in Indiana. They are installing a new Light Duty Diesel Line. I've seen the 1/2 ton test trucks with the new diesels in them. Extremely quiet, I think they are a four cylinder.
