Ah see then they would be protecting the DOMESTICATED one-eyed-one-horned-flying-purple-people-eater just to put us on algae dependence to other countries.

It's about time the big three are putting diesels in their half ton lineup. I am still suprised that there hasn't been a diesel option or a 3/4 ton truck from Toyota yet.

My son's '06 F150 gets real close to 15 around town so bumping that up to roughly 18 sounds pretty good.

Just a heads up rankroddin250, the urea injection system poses zero issues with the motor, does a better job at reducing particulates then the DPF and doesn't hurt fuel economy. Hopefully they'll be putting that on the 6.4 or the upcoming replacement for it which will get their fuel economy numbers back up where they should be.

I didn't realise that the 5.4 was that lousy on gas mileage!

Yea, they're bad man. My Titan gets between 11-12. The Ram's with the Hemi in the get the same. The only one that does better is the Chevy 6.0 Vortec Max that has the Multi-Cylinder Displacement System. Friend of mine got 24 mpg on his way back from Arkansas keeping it at 65 mph. But it still only gets 16 around town.

Unless I read the article wrong, I think it's going to be made in house in Ford's plant in Chihuahua, Mexico.
