That is my thinking, why are they rushing to another engine so quickly?

It is a MULE! The Finish truck might not even look CLOSE to that.

Ford does this ALL the time and even put engines in completely different bodys to test them out and run them.

Just FYI in case you think the POWER STROKE name is owned by International, IT IS NOT!

Ford OWNS the name and probably will still be sticking with it.

they really should make the grill go up to the hood, not put the hood over the grill.

That's a 2008 truck. It just has a different hood for the bigger motor.

They could not keep the 6.0 because it would not meet emission standards. They can't keep the 6.4 for the same reason.

It's a real shame they cannot introduce this engine sooner. I have tremendous success with my 7.3 (01). I have two friends who I am suprised that they still talk to me after their 6.0 problems.

Truly disgusting that International would place an engine into production with this many flaws in a $50,000 truck. Of course International has other engine problems as well with the DT-466 and that's why they bought the
GM medium duty truck line becasue they wanted the 7.8L Duramax.

Mule or not...........Ford ought to be embarrassed to put that thing on the road. And with the design of the trucks here lately, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if that was the truck the knuckle heads at Ford have decided to go with. I'll keep my OBS with it's high mileage.
