Being a Vet myself, I agree Alan. The only way that oil was a factor is that it is obvious that the oil companies sought to take advantage of this situation and make it look like the demand is higher. It isn't. Not to the degree that they are trying to say it is. Also, how can these people (oil) say that that they are not gouging when they are making RECORD profits. Only because the House and Senate are beholden to big business is how it is being gotten away with. They can't blame the president, because if they even thought that he was part of the issue, they would most certainly take advantage of the situation and bring him up on charges just like what happened to Bill, only over oil. No, they are all making money on this and are seeking to just keep it going. Also, the terrorists have been striking at us for years, look at the bombing in beruit, the housing facility in Saudi (if memory serves) the car bombing @ Rhamstien AB, the Cole, the towers the 1st time, etc, etc, etc. the list goes on. But, 9/11 was not an inside job, and it belittles the sacrifices made by my Commrades in Arms and those who died on that day.Personally I think the entire House and Senate needs to be purged and started fresh, put term limits on them, change how pay raises are given,(i.e. voted on by us and only every 4 years) and we should limit the number of lawyers that are allowed serve. Regular people should be serving, ALL walks of life. (legal) The ONLY reason ANY lawyers should be allowed to serve is simply to watch out for the rules of law(P's&Q's) This is what our founding fathers had intended from the beginning.
I served once and would serve again, I love my country and would defend it til death, I don't agree with everything that is done and I don't think everyone else does either. We are going off track with how this country is run and it is going to big business and that is just wrong. If we don't change things, then it will collapse. We need to get rid of this big money thing to run for president, I think if we do that, we could actually get a truly good candidate, to run and serve (keyword SERVE) this nation. I also think that in order to run for president YOU MUST SERVE AT LEAST 1 TERM OF ENLISTMENT IN THE BRANCH OF YOUR CHOICE!!! thank you.
