From the SAE Interational article:

"The block is cast in Brazil by Tupy SA and features cross-bolted main bearing caps for strength."

"The <German> Bosch fuel injection system also helps reduce noise by not using post-injection events during idling, although Gryglak admits that the piezo-type injectors are inherently noisier than solenoid-actuated types."

"The heads are cast by Nemak, while Ford handles final machining at its Chihuahua, Mexico, engine plant where the 6.7 is assembled."

What ever happened to "Made in the USA"

Its a little bit more complicated than that, but your on the right track. Has to do with our elected representatives getting lost in their own world of makeing themselves rich without regard to the cditizens that elected them to office. Kinda hard to turn down multi million dollar perks if you were born poor.

The SAE article also said the trucks wouldn't begin production till the 3rd quarter of 2010 - I thought Diesel Power said the trucks would be out in the 1st quarter - I can't stand the suspense!!!!!!!!!!

Long Time No See

I used to frequent this forum daily. Looks like it's still blowing and going (hopefully no blow-by)

powerstroke.org members used to join and tune into my radio show weekly, and I wanted to invite you back. We're on CBS air in Big Dallas now.

here are some links.

REAL DEAL AUTO BLOG is the blog

Real Deal with John Clay Wolfe is the show site

thanks
