The place all the oil came out was out of one single glow plug boot. How in the world this happend I have no idea cause it does not make sense to me. When it blew it was not a suttle thing that just slowly got worse it was a ear piercing pop and smoke was everywhere. I stoped traffic with the cloud of smoke. There was enough oil to completely coat the side of my 38ft 8 horse trailer all the way to the back. Another odd thing is that there was no warrning at all. Even after the engine blew i still never code a code or check engine light.
wow.

I know there are alot of people thta love there 6.4's but there is ALOT of us in the horse community that hate our 6.4s. But on the other hand I love my f250 and have not had any problems with it unless in inflicted them. (heavy foot)
and we will see how long that will last with the same load. plus did they reset the odometer?

Yahoooo...Gonna be hard to keepmyself from buying one. I bought a 4.6 when first unveiled and it was a bullet proof engine in my 150 so i am not afraid
it can go both ways.

That is true they did make those f150s freaking unstopable. You could drive those things for ever. But my father inlaw has a new f150 and its a piece of junk. Wonder if ford makes the motor in it.

No they didnt do that and I dont expect them too due to the whole truck having 25000 miles. I did however read in a thread that another guy that went through three engines towing heavy loads and that ford gave him a 250,000 mile warranty.

The thing about what I use the truck for is that when I haul horses to a show from oklahoma to cali its about 1200 miles from my door step to the fair grounds. I can charge 1.50 a mile and thats 1800 bucks round trip now multiply that by 8 horses and you get 14,400.00 for one trip to cali and back with my clients show horses. If I have a truck that breaks down and I can haul the horses to the show thats 14 grand that I dont have. I go to denver, new england, cali (twice), kansas (twice) and a few local shows here in oklahoma. I can pay for the truck in one year just on hauling costs alone. I get a new truck every year so I always have a reliable truck to haul with. that f350 cost me about 20 grand this year in business. You can see why I might have a bad taste in my mouth about the 6.4 for towing. I want them to bring the 7.3 back so we can put 300,000 miles on the truck on one engine not `10

I think we'll use you as the Scorpion guinee pig then , if you're going to buy one. I think that you said you were buying something like a Top Kick or f650 or something bigger than a pickup though???

I'd like to make that kind of cash, even if it were only for 1 year. Pay this truck off, and I'd be in seventh heaven, and the wife would be happy too cause we'd be able to start making babies
