About the Org. dinner Friday night. The menu is simple; Good ole southern chicken pileau cooked in a large black cast iron pot, light bread, and sweet pickle. The dinner is being sponsored by Trucks Unlimited, and cooked by me. IF (its not necessary) anyone wants to help, we are gonna need a large pack of the throw away styrofoam or plastic plates(ones divided into sections) pack of 125 or so. Also will need plastic forks and napkins for the same amount of folks. Also, drinks are on you the individual since there will most certainly be an "array" of different beverages needed. Some will choose to have soft drinks, others water, and still others will have a beer with their meal. So I guess its BYOD. Someone also mentioned desserts. If you feel you want to contribute, and would like to bring something sweet, by all means sign up. We will be glad to have it. Again, not everyone eats dessert, so we will just see how that goes. As far as I am concerned, I am looking forward to it already!! Cant wait!

Whats in it?

Some are wondering whats gonna be in the Big Black Pot Friday evening at the SSS for dinner. Well here is a list of what will be in the pot:

40 lbs of chicken thighs
25 lbs white rice
10 lbs polska Kielbasa sausage
3 lbs bacon
3 large onions
chicken broth
salt
pepper(red and black)
kitchen bouquet
and a little bit of southern charm to get it all to work out right!

No roadkill or wildlife in this one. Sorry.
