SSS Caravan on Friday from Columbia, SC

Hey guys, and gals......I'm wondering if anyone is interested in assembling as a group in Columbia, SC and driving up from there. I live just a couple minutes outside of the city.

I figure some SC or FL people might want to join up for a nice parade up I-77

Give me a ring or e-mail and lets get this going! I'd like to leave Columbia around noon or just after on Friday so I have time for a few drinks before the fish fry!

It looks like I'm going to be heading up I-77 to Charlotte, then get on I-85 until I hit US-52

I just googled MB to Winston Salem and it looks like it's mostly back roads. Would you want to cross over and hop on I-77 somewhere? Or maybe meet up just outside Charlotte?

I'll be heading up 26 to 77 and going thru Columbia earlier than noon. I'm meeting another member Pipelayer at around noon in Charlotte. Don't know if your schedule allows you to leave earlier? That would be cool. If not lookin forward to seeing ya there.

Grrrr....I am wishin I would never have subscribed to this thread. This is gonna be one.... well, one...., geez, the proper words aint appropiate to write in a public place. Let me just say this is gonna be an outstanding get together, and maybe the best in the country ever, and I can't go! Thats why i wish I had never subscribed to this thread. Next year though, next year if invited I will be there even if I have to fly in.

Earlier than noon sounds good to me. I just wanted to drive up there in a group. That'd be cool as hell to see a ton of pimped out diesel trucks drive by in a pack

Not quite sure. How long do you think it takes to get from Columbia to Charlotte?

Google maps says 1hr40min. I'd say that's around what it takes with a stop if needed.

Who and how many people are you meeting in Charlotte?

Supposed to be meeting Pipelayer(Derrick) and I think he has someone with him. They'll be in the same truck. Hopefully I can get in contact with him again before monday morning because that's when I leave Pennsy to head down to S.C. I left him a PM earlier today.
