Plus I lowered my rear tires to round 30, that probably didnt help much either. Next time Im going to keep it at street pressure and use 4x4.

Not sure if a burnout would've helped, but my theory on street tires it doesnt make much of a difference but I guess when it's fairly cold it wouldn't have hurt lol

That is what I gathered from why I only could get one 14.9 run in out of the 5 times I raced, MPH was still there all night.. 60s suffered.
Just man up and put that b!tch in 4wd and do a REAL launch. I've done at least 50 4wd launches and my trans is still fine for daily driving (all previous problems were sensor related or WOT shift points w/ bad programming)... just WANT to get a new one so I don't get stuck with a 4,000 dollar bill if it ever went out!!!!

You'll be putting a T/C in that thing soon anyway...

Can't blame him, he was there for what, 10 minutes?

I don't really have a desire to race in 4WD because my real race vehicle is only 2WD. lol BUT.. like I said, it'll be 4x4 next time.

I might bring it to Cecil instead of the PSD on Saturday, for those who don't know.. my 01 Lightning.

AND!!! how'd you figure on me getting a converter for the PSD? LOL I've been thinking about it for a while, and I was eyeballing one of your trans builders converters.

I didn't have any cash and I was only stopping by to meet the new guys like you, echo and marlin.

I had too much stuff to do to my own truck

Dave we spoke about putting a convertor in your truck after I get my tranny since I'll have a pretty good idea of how everything works since I'll be taking my old tranny apart after I get a new one.

Dont know what it runs, probably a 13.5-13.9 right now with the street tires. I usually drive it as most as I can except in winter, it sucks in the rain so I dont think I'd want to run it in the snow.

Im eventually trying for a mid 12-12.9 pass with a good safe tune, tires, working suspension and low boost. It's been done a few times, but that wont be for a while. I dont have any real expensive stuff done to it, but it has quite a few $$$ in it. Trying to hit 12s with an alternative route instead of just adding a dynotune with a bigger crank pulley, which I was going to do but, something different for me. That or, I'll just buy a Kenne Bell and run it on low boost as well.

I emailed Jody about any tune changes and he said I would be alright, and recommended a stall RPM the same as the stock converter, or a little higher.

I'd love to have a built engine and trans, I'd have to sell the PSD for that though, so nahhh. I'm not planning on selling anything so I got how many years to go fast.
