tailgate, backseat, spare, smaller set of tires?, slightly lower air pressure, no hitch, no toolbox, and going on a diet are all viable methods of loosing weight LOL....

I'm waiting for ditty to show up one day with a regular cab sitting on the frame rails, with no bed and stock sized tires and a real bottle warmer haha...

I know my taller than 34" tires make a difference. Matt can prove that with his timeslips. I doubt that lower air pressure will get me anything but more rolling resistance. The truck really hooks good! I'm not desperate enough to take the back seat out.

As for Ditty with no bed and likely no doors (Jeep style!) that might get him deep into the 15s! I joke, I kid...ha ha! I think Ditty is going to hook up with the 'ricans and get a rotary engine. From watching Ditty launch, I think he may be better off trying 2wd and getting just a little wheel spin on the launch. He is bogging pretty bad off the line. His 60' times really show it.

If I go, I have to find out if I am working that morning for the in-laws, I probably can get out of it if I let them know in advance. Flying J would work for me, I like rolling in together, makes a nice entrance!!

The tire pressure was directed at Eric actually since he stated he had bad wheel hop and was chirping all 4 tires on the launch.

Ditty could rebuild his LSD and he won't spin much at all in 2wd with a slightly boosted launch. I don't know if he's starting out in 1st or 2nd, but he could definitely get a good 4wd launch if he perfectly heal/toe's it and puts stock tires on it since he has stock gearing.

Forgot, you had to pick up your gate and left...I nailed my last two launches. With advice from Eric of course. I was paying too much attention to boost.

Now the 4 wheel spin at launch had to look pretty cool outside the truck, but it shook the he!! outta the rig!! And killed my sixty foot.

My last run (if I can repeat it) was on the money, no spin, hop or nothing, truck just shot outta the hole!

Actually, when you spin all four and you're bouncing like that it shudders the whole truck and you can visibly see this... makes the truck look like its going to spit the motor or tranny or rears out LOL...

As it got colder throughout the night, the less and less RPMs I could leave at without a noticeable loss of traction, and I was only stalling the converter up, started out at around 1400 and the last run I made on Friday which was after 10PM, I could barely leave off idle.. it was probably real low 50s when we left the track. Plus I lowered my rear tires to round 30, that probably didnt help much either. Next time Im going to keep it at street pressure and use 4x4.

Not sure if a burnout would've helped, but my theory on street tires it doesnt make much of a difference but I guess when it's fairly cold it wouldn't have hurt lol

That is what I gathered from why I only could get one 14.9 run in out of the 5 times I raced, MPH was still there all night.. 60s suffered.

I just must not be making the big power all you other guys are. I have no problem at all getting my truck to hook. The traction is so good in fact that I have to try to spin the tires even with the xtreme street tune. I can nail it from a dead stop and not much more than bark the tires. In 4wd she launches like a cannon!

I was running 60 psi rear and 65 psi front on Friday night! I had just rotated the tires and changed pressures so I know exactly what I had. The old trashy Goodyears really get the job done. I love the BFGs but for almost half the cost I think I'll go with the Wranglers again. They aren't the best off road but they really hook well on the street.

Ditty needs to hook up with Dave. He seems to be the master of the 2wd launch!
