OBX Diesels on the beach

would anyone be interested in going down to the outerbanks and having a get together at Oregon inlet or salvo? i was thinking after tourist season so that there is less traffic and cheaper prices.

I'll be renting a beachhouse down in Salvo the 2nd week of September and we'll be driving the truck for sure. Just let me know...I see trucks out on the beaches all the time down there, especially at Oregen Inlet.

Starting a new job the end of this month so I will be a lil unpredictable. September sometime would be good. Preferably somewhere on Hatteras Island though. The inlet is unpredictable for some people with the tides and all. But I am down.

Oh and out of curiosity, since this is a local thread. How many of you are sportin Twisted Diesel logos on your trucks?

Once we get down on the island none of us will be local anyways. If your not from the island your not a local. They jack prices on a lot of stuff down there. Then they offer a locals discount, you have to show your drivers license to get it. Smart huh. Mainly local business does it. Gas, surf shops, small grocery stores and stuff.

Also one note for ya'll that vacation down there. When you are on the Chesapeake expressway, stay on it please. The traffic has gotten better, but with GPS, etc. tourists get on our local roads and clog it up to avoid a 2 dollar toll.

Summer time is crazy around here. I live between Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks. If I leave the house on saturday about 10 A.M. it is rediculous.
