I was having engine trouble so I searched google from the wireless laptop on the side of the road. Used the 911 forums and found out that I was in the process of losing my Cam Sensor. Got a great tip on saving some cash by going to the International Dealership and decided to subscribe the same day!

I figure the cost to go premium was about a quarter of what the members saved me on that one part so it was only fair.

After buying my PSD I was looking on the internet for resources that I could use to help me with maintaining the truck, fixing it when problems arose, increase my general knowledge of these trucks since I own one, an help others on certain topics I know about.

I found this site in particular when I searched "powerstroke +forums" on google. I found about 10 others as well but only regularly post on 2. This one and another, more arrogant site. I like the fact the people here get along well and there is a smaller congergation that I can get involved with and relate to. I've noticed on both sites that there are alot who talk shirt, and others who know their shirt. Marc is one that knows his shirt.

Thanks...

I was having troubles with the truck, searched for 'powerstroke forum' on google and the rest is history. At first I thought the site was dead, but then realized i was one of the first few ones to even join up, WOW this site sure has grown!

Whatever happened to pacman? Did anyone ever beat my score?

I was doing a Google search for "velvet ride spring shackles" and it pulled up a thread on this site where someone had posted there pics of the install of these shackles and posted his reviews. After reading that, i found LOTS of other good info and this truck being my first Ford PSD and not knowing enough about it, i decided that this was a gold mine for information on my truck. I spent several months on the Frybrid.com website which is committed to helping people properly convert there diesel engines to run on clean renewable vegitable oil as fuel. That forum page offered tons and tons of info related to that subject and I learned all i needed to from there to do my conversion and start properly using veg oil as fuel. Now I have this website to learn all the other aspecs of my motor that I am ignorant about.

I was really bored, teaching in the physics tutoring lab at college, and decided to search for a powerstroke forum. After the semester was over I ended up learning more from the forum than I was ever teaching.

I found this site through a google search. I just switched from GM gas trucks to my first Ford diesel and mainly just wanted to learn about it. I found a lot of information on this site and noticed the members were eager to help and friendly to top it off so I signed up and just recently paid my dues.

I did a Yahoo search for powerstroke and there it was. I had bought my truck the same day and knew that since I'd never had a diesel, that the maintenance would be more than I'd done.
I'd surfed other forum sites for previous vehicles, and this is the BEST forum site out there! Everyone has been nothing but friendly (so far) to me. I try and check out at least new posts everyday.
I saw the premium membership link and figured to was the least I could do for the wealth of info I've gotten in the short time I've been here.
I'm totally hooked. The info is unreal.
