Brushguards???

Been hooked on this website for about 3 months now and have a question about something I;ve noticed since day one. Hundreds of pics from all over the country from some kick *** rigs but rarely, very rarely do I see full replacement brush guards/bumpers. I'm late 30'sh and not real hip to cool mods anymore but have had (and do have) full replacements on all my PSD's and ex trucks as well. Is it a South Texas thing or am I not in the know anymore as I get older. I put them on as function (chingos of hog and deer on the roads) more than for looks but couldn't picture my truck without one. Let me have it.

I have a 2010 F350 with a RH brush guard on it. As Jarrod said, it is a Texas thing.
