Another budget intercooler install
I'm cheap, and spending a 2weeks of pay for an aftermarket intercooler for my obs just don't make any sense. That being said, here is my intercooler install on a budget, where I got my parts, how I installed it and the over all cost of the finished product.
Keeping this simple, with some research I found that the early 99-99.5 super duty will provide the majority of the parts I need. After surfing CL for a few days I found the now hard to find intake spyder($250). All in the same day I found
The early all aluminum intercooler with the tubes, boots, and all the clamps but 1($100).
So as of now I'm only $350 into it, and picking up all the parts was at my convenience as they were in route to and from work.
Next post will include pics of the intake spyder and what I did to my it fit behind my fuel bowl since I have not yet done the Efuel upgrade.
