bed organizer and raised floor

I'm thinking of building a false floor for the bed of my truck, using 2x4(or 6,8 whatever) and plywood to build a "cap" that will drop in and sit just on top of the wheel wells. i want to put 2 compartments that have lids that sit flush when closed, but accessible from tailgate when the back glass of the shell is open. I know what i want, but not sure where to start at. anyone have any tips, hints or prior builds they can help me out with?

What you're talking about is a fairly common thing to do with people who like to camp. I see there are no responses on here, but check out these forums for LOTS of ideas, and several super duty builds (Though there aren't a LOT, Im always looking for more super duty builds myself)

Also, if your truck is a short bed (long beds aren't available yet), have you seen the Decked systems? A buddy of mine has one in his F150, and is actually a dealer for them. (he's on this forum, Ive seen/used it. Its a very nice product. I actually would like one for my truck, though mine is a long bed. I would like to get a short bed one, as it leaves enough space at the front of the bed for my current in-bed diamond plate tool box. Along with my camper shell, I think this would make my truck really nice for off-road camping/storage/sleep platform.
