Hey guys! I just got a 14 F250 about 2 weeks ago and I have a 40" light bar to go in the gap of the front bumper, but I have to remove my tow hooks to do so. My tow hooks are welded to that plate that also holds the front bumper on? How do I remove the tow hooks but still have the plate to bolt my bumper to? Or is there a replacement plate you can buy without the tow hooks?
I have looked and I am pretty sure they are. I have went as far as unbolting my bumper from those plates but that's when I noticed them welded on there.
The hooks are part of the bumper brackets on the '11+ trucks. You can either cut the hooks off with an air wheel or order a set of tow hook eliminator brackets to make the job easier. Plus this what you still have your factory bracket/hooks if you want to put them back on.
