Great job
Humm, the broken thing didnt look like a D-5 looked more like of of them off shore things.

Yes, F150's are much lighter in weight but this can also work against them.
Got to say you did a better job buryin your truck than anyone else i have seen in 62 years.

I would have never tried pulling it out because the suspension and frame were in the mud so you would be pulling against them and can damage things big time. I stretched a brand new dodge power wagon once trying to pull him outa a creek. The dealer made the repairs but wanted to know how the truck ever got stretched. I blew my ring and pinion also. How it happened was i couldn't budge him i just sat there and spun all four wheels so i put a strap between my winch cable and his frame. The strap will stretch. He was in the creek and i was on the levee so i would be pulling him up in the air sorta. I then gave some slack in the line put er in low range and hit the gas. That powerwagon went straight up in the air turned 180 degrees and landed partway back on the cordoroy we had laid down. From that point it was easy. That power wagon was never the same again.

Was there any damage to your truck?

Do you guys notice weird leaf spring wear? I take my truck off road now and again, the last time it was in a bumpy field. The next day I noticed my leaf packs are a tiny bit out of alignment with eachother. Not the hanger, just the leafs arent sitting perfectly ontop of one another. Is this normal?

It was a little course the dealer set up, it wasn't a mud pit but a timed dirt event.
Dude, In the latest issue of Diesel Power they put a turbo on that old 6.9. hahaha its the same exact truck in the mag. lol.
