"Baked" on mud

Went hunting and it was really muddy where we were at. For some reason I didn't spray off one of the wheels really good and it feels like sand paper. I've tried to pressure wash and use Purple Power on them but I can't seem to get the dirt off. Is there a trick to it without screwing up the wheels?

could be you have a bit of road tar you didn't notice when you picked it up? minor sandblasting from debris in the mud? maybe try a bit of non pumice handcleaner, with a non abrasive nylon scrubber
