Superchips 1705

Yeah, the problem was because of a lack of information. I got a used SC tuner, hoping for better fuel economy. I installed the economy program and my fuel economy got worse. I tried the other two programs - no better. Checked several forums, including this one - finally figured out on my own that the tuner I had must have older software on it. It was "Version 2.03", whereas my friend with identical rig and 1705 tuner had "Version 2.51". After reselling the tuner and buying a new one online, I installed and saw + 2-3mpg.

had a hypertech for a previous 01 stroke, trans slipped and rpm flare on 2-3 shift with the truck programmed, sold it and went with superchip, no problems. let the truck go at 140k with the superchip still doing good, no trans complaints.

I had my truck for about 2 weeks with an edge attitude and I had to have head gaskets replaced. I don't know if the programmer did the damage, I didn't have it long enough to really play with it. Took it into the dealer with the edge on the dash and they did $6k worth of work under the 5/100,000 powertrain, no questions asked, only $100 deductible.

PISS ON PPE. I just gave mine away. I couldn't sell it cause everyone in my small town knows what it did to my truck. A new engine is a lot of money. I wouldn't say PPE voided my warranty, but I could have gone full throttle all day long without it and not hurt my engine. Once a Ford tech pulls the heads and sees the excessive burn marks on the pistons, they will know about any programmer.

Cool just lucky

We got by with a good one. With the PPE on 10 we cracked the second EGR cooler, lifted and cracked both heads. We paid the deductable and a $250 surcharge for the 12in lift. The PPE is in the garage now.

Yup. I just paid Ford to pull the engine and I brought it up to AZ to do the rebuild myself. I just got the heads and the rocker box on today. Even though they voided my warranty, they are being really cool and working with me on it.

PPE here and my truck got stuck on 8 and I almost hit a tree. And If anyone is going to say something about my tranny's well the PPE didn't cause them to be junk. 3 tranny's before the programmer. Fourth tranny went out because I pulled a loaded chevy out of the sand and now tranny 5 has had the truck at Ford for the past week and a half and haven't heard from them at all. I'm over the 5R110.
