My definition of a good truck is one that has ARB air lockers front & back, at least a 6 speed tranny(with a clutch), at least a 4 postition transfer case and very high end winter rubber in the winter. Then and only then can you navigate the unmaintained mountain roads that have many inches of boiler plate ice. forget you own brakes and it is all in the lockers and tranny gears. Almost forgot the 1400 lbs sand sleeves to get the suspensions attention. This is the equipment I need to get to the remote areas that I have harvested a 10, 11 & 12 point buck. Now scounting a 14 point in the true boonies. No guards rails here.......
