so this one is about what you actually have, lets do one about what you would really like to have as well. I know that I would sure like to have a 6-speed, but only have an auto ...

How can I really complain though, when I am lucky enough just to have one at all!!!

i guess i should have asked what you would like to have. it took me three months to find the one that i wanted, i had to drive 350 miles one way to get it. but its mine now a burnt orange diesel with manual trans.

for me the torque shift was the inly way to go. mileage is the same. controll is dang close and ease of use /maint. is much better

In a factory truck or one with just a few mods like I have now i'd like a manual. But if after doing a lot of research there's some really good solid automatic trannies out there. I would put one in if I was going to throw some serious power down and hit the drag strip.
