My 5R110 is dying. It has 20K miles and no tunes what so ever. Can't even get out of the driveway without it F'ing up.

Dunno I'll see what the other dealer says. The TQ is going and hopefully it will wipe out the rest of the tranny.

If your dealership is mod friendly ask them to rebuild it with a suncoast rebuild kit. Just supply the kit.

I've thought about that but I try to stay away from things like that. I'de rather go to a shop and have them build the tranny rather than putting a generic kit in it. Not putting down suncoast but rather go to John Wood or a tranny shop before I go the suncoast route.

I think the stock allison in the d max is over rated. I have a 2006 3/4 ton 40,000 and it never shifts the same. and some times shifts when it shouldnt. and dont shift when it should.
