I have heard scary things about pane, but my father-in-law has been running it for years in his 7.3. Mostly to help with towing, and a little as a performance enhancer.

I agree for people to use it. It's a cheaper way to keep up w/ jones's. We all have the option to use it if we want so why not like it.

It's just another help or advantage, just like Turbos, Superchargers, Slicks and 4WD.

2 things that bother me about N.O.S.

1. anyone that braggs how much hp/torque their making, and to find out that most of it is N.O.S.
2. the pronounciation... Its N.O.S. or Nitrious Oxide, Not NAAOSSS. To many imports watching the Fast And The Furious!!!

As far as using it....I could care less either way.

I don't think propane offers near the power and cooling that nitrous does. Propane does help to an extent but like I said, from what I have heard it's just not near as good as nitrous. Plus, you can run propane legally on the street. I read an article where it was installed on a 6.0 and the gain was 10 mpg! They couldn't believe it but that's what they got.

Anyway I think it's cool to see a car or truck make big power on motor alone, or with forced induction but you can get even more with a little or even a lot with some nitrous go for it! With EGT's as important as they are on our trucks I would rather shoot a little nos and go home with with the win while few manginas cry about it than lose to the guy running a big charger that may be to stubborn to capitalize on it's advantage.

Horsepower is horsepower, no matter how you make it! N20 has been used for used, and it's a "fad" that's never going away.

That's how I feel.

??? Huh? Were you the biggest FATF fan?!! Actually, it's just Nitrous, or Nitrous Oxide, or N20. The people that call it NOS, or "naaosss" are the people who are oblivious to the fact that N.O.S. is only an acronym for the company Nitrous Oxide Systems. It's N2O, never NOS.

Sure, it is always cooler to do it on fuel alone.

The way I see it unless you race in a class that restricts the use of "drugs", then it is legal and a legitimate way to make more horsepower and it's use is up to the individual.

Actually from my understanding and learning about N2O is that it doesnt really show up as much as you think on the dyno. It's biggest help is in the 1/4. It just acts as an additive to improve race times.

Increase on dynos, from what I have been taught, are not that dramatic of an increase.

So, there is "most of it N2O"...example, I dynoed at approx. 435 HP before spray. After spray, I am guesstimating approx 475, little higher.

It is just a power adder, thats all. And I like it!!

I say NO to drugs!!!! If you can't do it on motor then go back and work on your motor some more! It is like an athlete doing steroids! I consider it cheating! That is just my opinion. I am old school, but then again ..... I drive a slow old granny truck! The only thing you might see spraying in the Granny is some water to help cool it down, but I will NEVER spray nitrous or anything else! That is just me.
