Thumbs up Great Service

The previous owner had put 4" lift and BFG A/T's 35X12.5x16.5 on the truck. When I bought it I got the dealer to replace ALL 5, spare is matching rim and tire also, and I have about 15,000 on them and except for a nail through one they still look brand new. I am a stickler on preventative maintenance, brakes tires and fluids. This truck still has the original brakes on it. Granted my truck is used to haul some trailers but mainly used just to haul my big butt around. I will certainly put the same tires back on it if I EVER wear these out. I would like to have a set of stock wheels and tires though, because last winter the weather was rough on my rims.

WTF? I guess you're not melting them either from what I can gather. Have you tried different brands???? Still kind of hard to imagine only 5k miles. I would venture a guess that if you tried BFG you'd get alot better wear. Honestly, you should get AT LEAST 30k on a set of tires. I know a guy who got 55,000 miles out of his BFG ATs on a super duty PSD. I have about 5k miles on these BFG AT's, I have smoked them quite a few times and the rear tires still have deep lugs on them. I am perplexed by just 5k miles, can you tell?

I would get the alignment checked (4 wheel) and make sure you are running the right tire pressure. There is something defiantly wrong.

My BFG A/T's have 65,000 miles on them. Mostly hwy, but the rear 2 which haven't been rotated in about 4 months b/c I know Im getting new tires are a bit worse then the front lol...

Oops, never thought of that. Definitely get that stuff checked, good catch Glenn! Bad alignment will cause uneven wear, could be tire rod ends, alignment, balance, etc. I would say make sure and rotate them, but at 5k miles you're right about the first rotation on a set of tires.

Dang, 65k miles??? You're doing just fine on that set, you must never smoke them at all(uh huh)!!! Yeah I believe you because like I said, I have heard of guys getting some insanely high miles out of these tires.

I've got a friend that bought a new 2001 PSD SC, SB,4x4 with the street Radials. He drives alot of highway empty and pulls a 28 ft camper through out the year. I couldn't believe he got 92,000 miles out of the stock Firestone Steeltex tires. They were bald, but dang.
