That still sucks. I've got 10,000 miles on my tires and they look like new. Are you running the right pressures?

mud tires will wear out alot quicker than all terrains or highways, thats why alot of guys run all terrains, to get the best of both worlds.

Bfg/at

I am running BFG all Terrains. They actually wear pretty good, but I prefer the BFG mud Terrains. I bought the truck like a week after the previous owner put brand new tires on it. If you do alot of dirt road driving, the ATs flip WAY too many rocks for me. The muds don't wear as good on pavement, but my next set will be muds. The wear difference isn't enough to have to deal with paint chips for me. (I have a set of muds on my Silverado and the wear has so far been good)

I paid $175 a piece for my 285/75/r16 muds on the Silverado. Not sure what the ATs on the PSD cost because of the size, but the ATs are like $10 per tire less than the muds usually. I just bought them muds about 9 months ago. I have around 6-7k on them and still tons of tread. Your tire situation is weird. I don't buy the Super Duty theory.
