I don't know if I should add anymore to this thread.......but I will anyway.

Jody's last name is Tipton.
I had used a few different chips before I had his chip with standard files installed. Could not believe the difference. Unreal smoothness in all positions and gobs of power.
I am now running some newer programs and they are sweet.
His 80hp Economy program is really awesome for long drives for those looking for a bit better mpg.
How good is his stuff??? Some of the most powerful PSDs in the country are using his programming.
Just my .02.

Hey Ed thanks! I actually found out his last name long ago. In fact this forum has had quite the heated debate over Jody's tunes. Mainly because a couple of guys seemed to knock any member not using his chip. I don't doubt that he makes a pretty remarkable chip. I had TS chip in mine which is rated at the same levels that your chip is. I really don't see any differences between the Jody chip and the TS chip. I'd have to have someone do a head to head comparison with two absolutely identical trucks, because at this point I think that they are both pretty much the same chip.

The name is not Ed. Username is what I do: EDM(Elecrical Discharge Machining). and yeah......I'm just a guy. just pokin here.....I am the newbie to this forum.
Well I for one won't knock anyone for not using Jody's stuff. To each his own. And yes you are right. They are the same chip. It's just the programs that are on them that are the differences. Most of the people that are selling their chips have to get the chip hardware from Dennis at TS because he makes them. But that is old news right. I have used alot of different stuff including TS and just thought I would share my thoughts. Use whats best for you is what I say!!

I didn't think it was ed, but I tend to address users by an abbreviation of their user name. I get called "Smoke" quite often
I agree, to each his own on a chip. Glad that you think along the same lines!

Superchip Microtuner

It's hard to find anything for my '97. Tuners are all that I know of thus far. I have a ICP controller also, but it only ruins my idle, no noticable power improvement. I don't know what exactly prevents my truck from enjoying big power gains with electronics. I pre-ordered banks 6-gun when it was first introduced for 95-03 trucks. After 3 months Banks refunded my money, saying they had problems with the early strokers. Jegs has a Granatelli Module, but in the past few months changed from 95-03 to 99-03. What Gives?

I wouldn't have minded trying a DP chip when I still had my 7.3
