+1 for Garmin........I have a Nuvi 200 or 250 (I can't remember). It's small, has good battery life, easy to use, and you can take it with you easily. I keep mine in my backpack that I take traveling on business.

Garmin all the way
Hmmmm, I must tell you after using a Nuvi 350 for a year...the idea of ever going back to a map sucks big time as I travel to new addresses everyday for my occupation plus with the post 911 situation, many companies like to keep their locations anonymous with no name and often no numbers posted on the front.
It has nothing to do with laziness, to want to be on the correct side of the freeway a mile before you exit or to not have to scribble down lots of directions telling you look for the MCd's on the right or go three lights then turn right all the while hoping youve writtten every detail down and hoping the guy in back of you doesnt ram your a$$ because you didnt give enough time for a signal!!!

i have a garmin GPSmap60CSX it's a handheld so you can take it anywhere including the boat. it also has a removable memory card so you can save many hunting fishing spots. it's not as convienient as an indash while driving but it's worth the trade off in my opinion. it will do turn by turn navigation also
