Work gave me a new Dmax for a work truck and the one thing I love about it is how quiet it is in the cab!!

With my 67 RS CAMARO (562 HP Small Block with 3" exhaust and 1 chamber race mufflers) I used dynomat on the floor, and all the door panels, even the trunk bottom. The thing is SO LOUD and I love it, but on a road trip to Hot August Nights, or any long distance IT IS VERY ANNOYING.

Interested in what you have in mind!

My fun little insulation project worked fairly well. 3-4 gallons of elastomeric roof coating (siliconized flavor) and some 3/8" volara foam and the truck is pretty darn quiet. I mean, you can still hear the turbo whistle and some engine droan, but nothing like before.

It is weird though, sometimes the truck is louder than others. It is partly related to the temp of the engine, partly a to be identified factor. I will go from "what the hell did I do this for" to "wow its as quiet as our benz"

Tires make a SUBSTANTIAL difference though. anyone with mud terrains, or big knobbies..and have sound, just nix those and its a whole other world of sound.
