Hey dirko,

I'd be interested in letting you do the write up with pics and all on my excursion, using your supplies.

Unless this is your truck....

Then no!

But I'd be more than happy to point you to some good suppliers.

I'll just park mine there, drink an industrial size bottle of yeager with you the night before, and you wont be able to tell the difference with the hangover you will have in the morning.

Do you have any plans to use a DB meter to get firm evidence on the noise dampening?

BTW, It's not for lack of supplies, I've just gotten a bit lazy in my older age. I've had all components for the audio system in my truck since before I bought it, but I've only managed to get the deck in so far, the amp is laying under the second seat, and the box is still in storage. 10 years ago, I would have installed it all with whatever was available, nevermind waiting to buy what I wanted

I'm getting a hangover from just thinking about jager. Bring a bottle of disaronno and you might have a deal!

I'm trying to get my hands on a db meter or at the very least I can use pro tools and a sm58 mic to record ambient inside noise at idle and 35/55/70 MPH. I'm still working out the details.

I was going to do the door seal mod, but ordered the wrong size id tubing. So now I have 50 ft of surgical tubing laying around.

What brand of db meter's do I need to be looking at? Years ago I had one from radio shack. It was ok and worked well for the price.
