Hrmmm - I hear ya Shawn -- it defiantely has to be worth it for the dyno person -- but I just hope its not too expensive because that will prevent myself and others like me from jumping on and giving the wheels a whirl

I'm cheap, but I'd throw in $40 for a membership....

6.0 -- IF they do it like last year, its not about having a fast truck - its about consistency... Bracket Racking (Although there are prizes for quickest ET)

I love diesels etc. But after reading that it will cost another $$ for admission etc, I think its getting expensive for regular diesel guys like me. But I would really like to see how well this game can grow!!!!!!
NOOOOO....the only way to compete will NOT be to have a fast truck. Visit the NHRDA website for class details if you want. They have two bracket classes that are strait up brackets. This means the fastest truck doesnt usually win, its the most consistant truck. There will be a heads up class or two...and you will have to have a faster truck to compete in those, but by no means will an average truck be run out of this event. Brackets level the playing field by making aveage trucks keep up with and compete with any truck. Got to the NHRDA website and do a websearch on Bracket Dragracing for more details if you want...

Okkkkk... Sorry about that, I have dreams about a really fast truck but have to run what I got. Now with what Marc and Blue are saying. Yes, I am cheap, but I would spend 40 bucks for a membership and would like to compete, and mostly just hang with some others that share the same interest! So if you can , change this guys vote to YES!!!

The event will be split into brackets. You will be running against racers within your bracket. You won't be pined next to a 9sec Dmax unless you have a 9sec powerstroke and nobody hear has that unles it's a CTD.

Now Shawn.. that's not entirely true.

When running brackets, you won't get pinned heads up against a 9 second Dmax.. but it's entirely possible to run against trucks significantly faster than yours. The trick is that you will get a head start to compensate!!!!
